West Chop is holding big bass, with reports of fish up to 40-pounds.  Light tackle and fly fisherman have been tearing it up in Middle Ground on bass up to 20-pounds, after weeding through the multitude of bluefish.

For surf casters, Chappy is still reliable.  If you are willing to move around Chappy, meaning from Wasque to Cape Pogue, you will find large numbers of bass and blues.  The rip is still holding fish, but East Beach has been giving up the larger numbers or striped bass.  Most fisherman having the best success are the ones using lures.  Rapalas, RonZ, Hogy's, bucktails, Kastmasters and rubber shads should be in your plug bag if you're hitting Chappy beaches.

The North shore is also holding fish, but sporadic pods seem to be moving in and quickly moving out.  Lobsterville and Dogfish Bar has been very good, with the occasional report of bass in the high 20-pound range.  Again, rubber shads, Bombers, Rapalas, RonZ and wooden plugs like Needlefish and Danny's are all working well.
