We're in the full swing of the season. Plenty of fish being caught around the island, including some big fish. My friend of Featherwedge Charters got a 48 incher last night and a couple other fish over 30 pounds.
I'm thankful for the rain . . . we needed it, but it has hampered some of the fishing.

I Guess It's A Start . . .
So there are plenty of bluefish around and of course even that is unpredictable. The bass fishing has been sporadic. Keeper sized bass are being caught randomly around the island, but no big girls as of yet. Dick's Bait and Tackle Memorial Weekend Derby is underway and with some nice 9 pound bluefish weighed in it appears to be off to a competitive start.
I'll be on the beach all weekend and hopefully some good reporting back here once all the smoke clears.

How 'bout a show?
I know I start getting pretty ancy around the month of March. I've had enough of the New England winter and I want to fish. I know I'm not alone!
So if you're looking for something to do here are a few dates to keep in mind.
March 5 - Bass Pro Shops hosts fishing seminars and workshops - I will be conducting a surf casting seminar, along with other captains and anglers presenting some of their techniques - Foxborough, MA
March 11-13 - New England Saltwater Fishing Expo - Rhode Island Convention Center - Providence, RI
March 26-27 - Massachusetts Striped Bass Association Sportfishing Expo - South Shore Expo Center - Plymouth, MA
Of course you can email me for more info and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
